Product Care Suggestions

DO NOT CLEAN Flat panel televisions with Windex or other window cleaners.  This includes LCD, LED, DLP and Plasma televisions.  The chemicals found in most common window cleaners (as well as many other “general” household cleaners will eventually dry out your screen and lead to a fuzzy, scratched look on LCD’s and DLP’s and will take the antireflective film off of Plasma televisions.  USE ONLY approved, alcohol free screen cleaner.  A little goes a long way, so it is not necessary to purchase a large, expensive bottle.  When cleaning, use the micro fiber cloth provided with the cleaning kit or one that you have purchased, but make certain it doesn’t touch the floor or other dirty surfaces.  Sand picked up by the cloth will ruin your “piano black” bezel finish and possibly your screen. Conservatively apply the cleaner directly to the micro fiber cloth and then wipe down the screen.  Recently I have seen packs of cleaning wipes that come in a tube (similar to baby wipes), allowing you to have a clean cloth each time, virtually eliminating the risk of scratching your screen.  The drawback is that if not properly sealed, the pack dries out after a few weeks.  I recommend storing the entire pack in a zip up plastic bag.
